The US version comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SDM845, instead of Exynos 9810 Octa which is found outside America and China. The chip has four Kryo 385 Gold cores @ 2.8 GHz and four Kryo 385 Silver cores @ 1.7 GHz, along with Adreno 630 as the GPU. It ships with 4GB of power-efficient LPDDR4x SDRAM. With those specs, the device should be able to run power-intensive apps smoothly. As for internal

The display has a diagonal size of 5.8 inches, with a resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels, which converts to 571 ppi pixel density. The screen-to-body ratio is about 83.6% thanks to Infinity Display. It delivers crisp images and vibrant colors thanks to Super AMOLED technology. It’s also coated by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, which protects it against scratch.

The rear camera has a resolution of 12.2MP for capturing still images. Despite that resolution is not impressive for today, the camera quality is extremely good thanks to advanced technologies. You can use it for recording videos up to 4K @ 120fps. Equipped with dual LED flash, it supports Auto HDR, EIS, OIS, slow motion video, sand much more. On the front side, there is an 8 megapixels camera supporting 2560 x 1440 pixels (WQHD) video capture @ 30fps.

On the bottom, there is a USB 3.1 Type-C port. Fortunately it still retains a dedicated audio jack, so you can use your favorite headphone without the need of additional adapter. It also has the latest wireless features such as Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Tethring, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Calling, DLNA, and NFC. The Galaxy S9 has pretty good audio output thanks to 32-bit/384kHz audio support.

Dimensions of the handset are 68.7 x 147.7 x 8.5 mm, which is 0.5 mm thicker than the Galaxy S8 because of stiffer aluminium for a better drop protection. It’s also IP68 certified like its predecessor. The Samsung SM-G960U1 was released with Android 8.0 Oreo, with Samsung Experience of course, and is expected to receive the next major upgrade(s)
