That has begun since early November to the present. The high demand also occured at Black Friday and Thanksgiving at the end of November. The popularity of Note II can be seen at Amazon. Galaxy Note is in the top 15 most popular smartphones, including the LTE version from AT&T and the Verizon version which is sold at $299 with contract. The normal price without contract is $700.
High-end specifications make the phablet so popular. It has better specifications than Galaxy S III. Note II features a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, quad-core 1.6 GHz Exynos chip, 2 GB RAM, and 8 MP rear camera. As a comparison, Galaxy S III comes with 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display, quad-core 1.4 GHz Exynos chip, and 1 GB/2 GB of RAM. The software customization and S Pen support also boost the sales of Samsung Galaxy Note II.
