Polaroid is a well-known instant camera producer. Now the company is reportedly is trying to enter gadget market by releasing a new 7-inch Android tablet for kids. The new tablet namely Polaroid PTAB750 is a tablet made and designed strong enough to hold and controlled by kids. You can see with the presence of big buttons and thick bezel.
PTAB750 has a 7-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels supporting multi-touch. It features 1 GHz Cortex A8 processor, 512 MB of RAM, 8 GB of built-in storage, and microSD slot for storage expansion. In terms of connectivity, it’s equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth. On the back, it comes with a 2 megapixels camera. PTAB750 runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with more than 35 of full version pre-loaded applications like Draw, Music Studio, Kids Cam, and Kids Vids, a simple video streaming filter for children. It uses a Lithium-ion Polymer battery with a capacity of 3500 mAh.
The tablet offers a good feature namely parental control that allows parents or teachers to control what is good and not good for children. Polaroid plans to announce this tablet at CES 2013. It will be sold in market with a price of $149.99.
