Nokia has released a new Lumia device called Lumia 1020. At Nokia Zoom Reinvented stage, Stephen Elop proudly announced the successor of Nokia 808 PureView.
Nokia Lumia 1020 brings a 41 MP camera with auto focus and of course the PureView technology with Xenon Flash. The sensor size is 1/1.2-inch. It has six ZEISS optical lenses and Optical Image Stabilization. The camera phone is also supported by LED flash for recording video.
Nokia Lumia 1020 can capture photos at full resolution and 5 MP at the same time. So, user can upload the low resolution photo, but still has the high quality photo. Nokia also includes Camera Pro and Smart Camera that supports full manual mode for professional shooting experience. The camera can record 1080p video with stereo sound recording. It support three times zoom for 1080p mode and six times zoom for 720p mode without reducing quality. On the front, there’s a 1.2 MP wide-angle camera.
The Snapdragon S4 dual-core chip inside the device is clocked at 1.5 GHz, supported by 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. Lumia 1020 has a 4.5-inch Clear Black AMOLED display with a resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Nokia also adds PureMotion HD+ and Super Sensitive Touch technologies.
The Lumia 1020 is equipped with 2000 mAh battery supporting wireless charging feature that requires sold-separately accessory. With dimensions of 130.4 x 71.4 x 10.3mm, the phone size is similar to Lumia 920. Although it has a great camera, the weight is only 158 grams.
Color choices for Lumia 1020 are black, yellow, and white. It will go on sale through AT&T in United States starting from July 26th, 2013.
