According to the latest statistics, Google’s newest mobile operating system Android Jelly Bean (4.1 and 4.2) is used by 10.2% of Android users worldwide.
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich also increases to 29.1%. The old Android 2.3 Gingerbread still on the top with 47.6% cause there are many Android phones running on Gingerbread won’t get official update to Android 4.x.
Percentage of Jelly Bean user is predicted to increase in the following months considering upcoming high-end Android phones that will be announced at CES and MWC should come with Android Jelly Bean out of the box. In addition, most handsets that will get official Jelly Bean update are scheduled to receive the upgrade in this quarter.
