Second generation of iPad Mini is rumored to be equipped with Retina Display and launched in the late of this year. But, a Taiwanese daily Economic Daily News claimed that Apple delays the launch of that tablet until early 2013 because the lack of Retina Display panel for that mini tablet.
Rumors about iPad Mini are not consistent, including the release date of the tablet as well as whether or not it will use high resolution display. iPad Mini are quite success, but many people don’t agree with Apple decision to use 1024 x 768 resolution on a 7.9-inch display. It only results 162 ppi of pixel density. Though the display is not bad, but it’s not as crisp as the standard iPad. The 3rd and 4th gen 9.7-inch iPads are equipped with 2048 x 1536 pixels (4 times more than pixels on iPad Mini), converting to a pixel density of 263 ppi.
