After rumored since some months ago, today HTC makes One Mini official. HTC One Mini is the smaller version of the flagship HTC One. Design and features are similar to the original HTC One. It also uses aluminum unibody design with two stereo speakers on the front enhanced by HTC BoomSound.
For the display, the One Mini brings a 4.3-inch 720p S-LCD2 display with pixel density of 341 ppi. It’s coated by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to protect it from scratch. Inside the phone, there’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset with dual-core 1.4 GHz Krait 300 CPU and Adreno 305 GPU paired with 1 GB of RAM. The internal storage is 16 GB without microSD slot. It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5 user interface.
Like HTC One, the Mini version is equipped with a 4 MP UltraPixel camera and other supporting features such as Smart Flash. On the front, there’s a 1.6 MP camera with BSI sensor that can record 720p video.
The dimensions are 132 x 63.2 x 9.25 mm with a weight of 122 grams. With a 1,800 mAh battery, HTC claims that the smartphone will provide up to 13.2 hours of talk time and up to 692 hours of standby time in 3G network.
For connectivity, HTC includes LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n with DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, as well as GPS with GLONASS. It’s available in two color choices – Glacial Silver and Stealth Black depends on region. It will go on sale in August for 449 euro each unit, while the availability for global started in September.
