ZTE today announces its first smartphone with single-chip LTE smartphone called ZTE Grand X LTE (T82) at CommunicAsia 2012 event. The smartphone boasts boasts the latest Qualcomm chip called MSM8960, which based on 28 nm technology. Compared to most smartphones in the market nowadays, the single-chip model is faster and more efficient.
Grand X LTE (T82) comes with latest Android operating system, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. A dual-core 1.5 GHz processor powers this smartphone. An 8 megapixel camera on the rear is capable to record Full HD video and a 1.3 MP camera on the front can be used for video call. With LTE network support, the phone has up to 100 Mbps of download speed. Other features are Wi-Fi and 1900 mAh battery. Grand X LTE (T82) has a unique design without any button like a mini tablet PC.
ZTE Executive Vice President and Head of Terminal Handset Division, Mr. He Shiyou, said that ZTE is the frist company to use single-chip solution in making a cellphone and the Grand series products are the company flahgsip for this year.
At CommunicAsia 2012, ZTE also shows another products including ZTE V96A LTE tablet; M91 TD-LTE/EDGE multi-band UFi, which is the first in the world; and MF821 LTE wireless network card. V96A will be available in Europe and Asia-Pacific in Q3 2012.
