Toshiba officially announced REGZA T-02D, a high-end smartphone that will be launched in Japan in the near future.
The new smartphone has a 13.1 megapixel camera with Sony EXMOR R BSI sensor, claimed to support ISO 25,600. It comes with a dual-core 1.5 GHz Snapdraon S4 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 1800 mAh battery, fingerprint sensor, water resistant (IPX5/8), and dust resistant (IPX5). A new AMOLED Plus display with a size of 4.3-inch will be used on REGZA T-02D. It comes in qHD resolution (960 x 540 pixels) and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
The device will be available via NTT DoCoMo starting on July 26. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich comes pre-installed on the smartphone. Based on the processor, the phone most likely will come with 4G LTE network support. There’s no information about availability outside Japan market.
