According to a survey by DRAMeXchange, a division of TrendForce research company, Samsung got a market share of 29.6% in Q1 2013, slightly decreased from the same quarter last year.
Market share of Samsung’s biggest rival, Apple, decreased sharply from 18.8% to 15.3%. Although decreased from 4.7% to 4.4%, HTC moved up to third position. Behind the top three are Nokia with 4.4%, Huawei with 4.0%, Lenovo with 3.9%, Sony with 3.8%, ZTE with 3.7%, LG with 3.6%, and Coolpad with 3.6%. RIM was no longer in the top 10 in that period. Among the current top 10, only three of them managed to increase their market share. They are Sony, Lenovo, and LG, which not on the list last year.
