Sony officially announced Xperia M, an Android smartphone with dual-core processor. The phone brings latest technologies in affordable price.
Sony Xperia M is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus dual-core 1 GHz processor, Adreno 305 GPU, and 1 GB of RAM. It features a 4.0-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, NFC (Near Field Communicator) support, 5 MP main camera with Exmor RS sensor, up to 4x digital zoom, and 720p video recording @ 30fps, 0.3 MP (VGA) front-facing camera, as well as a 1,750 mAh battery. Like Xperia Z, it comes with Sony OmniBalance design.
In terms of storage, Xperia M offers only 4 GB of internal storage. Unlike Xperia NXT series smartphones, it can be upgraded by up to 32 GB with microSD slot. Sony claims that in STAMINA mode, the device can stand-by up to 552 hours or 10 hours and 18 minutes of talk time.
Sony Xperia M runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It’s available in four color choices – black, purple, white, and yellow. The device will be available in market starting from the third quarter of this year. Sony Xperia M is also available in single SIM and dual SIM versions.
