Sony has announced three new smartphones in China namely Xperia Ion, Acro S, and Go
Unlike the one sold in America, for China market, Sony Xperia Ion comes with Android 4.0 out of the box. The phone has a 4.55-inch display, dual-core 1.5 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of built-in storage. There is a 12 MP shooter on the rear and a 1.3 MP camera on the front. It also comes with DLNA, NFC, microUSB 2.0 with USB OTG support, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS, gyroscope, Wi-FI Direct as well as ANT+ support.
Another smartphones are Xperia Acro S and Xperia Go. Both are water resistant smartphones run on Android 4.0 ICS.
Xperia Acro S is a high-end smartphone, powered by Dual-core 1.5 GHz Scorpion processor and Adreno 220 GPU. The 4.3-inch HD display supports up to 10 fingers multi-touch. 16 GB built-in storage is provided without microSD slot. 1 GB of RAM will give you powerful multitasking. Like Xperia Ion, the phone has a 12 MP main camera and 1.3 MP secondary camera. The connectivity features are NFC, DLNA, microUSB 2.0 with USB OTG support, gyroscope, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS, Wi-FI Direct, and Bluetooth 2.1.
Xperia Go comes with a 3.5-inch display with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, supporting up to 10 fingers multi-touch. The dual-core processor inside it is clocked at 1 GHz. Xperia Go has 8 GB of internal storage, microSD support up to 32 GB, and 512 MB of RAM. The device only has a rear facing camera with 5 megapixel resolution. In terms of connectivity, it features Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 2.1, DLNA, and microUSB 2.0 with USB On-the-go support.
One of the three smartphones that will be launched first is the Xperia Ion. Afterwards, Xperia Acro S and Xperia Go will be released in Q3 2012.
