In Q3 2012, 46% of sold Android devices are Samsung-branded. It’s not a surprising news. Popular Samsung handsets like Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II have attracted a lot of customers.
In 2011, Samsung was on the second place with 23% behind HTC on the first place with 32%. It means that Samsung doubled its market share. Other well-known manufacturers like HTC, Motorola, and LG lost their market share. HTC was the worst, its market share declined from 32% to 16%. Motorola declined to 11% from 22%, while LG declined to 9% from 16%.
