Some days ago, representations of smartphone manufacturers like Samsung and Apple met law enforcement officials from San Francisco and New York to discuss about how to reduce the increase of phone robbery in big cities in United States. According to a report, Samsung is ready to launch kill switch next month.
That’s what desired by law enforcement, a way to deactivate stolen smartphone from a far distance, so thieves’ intention to steal smartphone will reduce. Previously, Apple through its latest platform iOS 7 has Activation Lock feature that locks the phone if a third-party person try to deactivate Find My Phone feature or wipe device data. Only the legal iPhone owner can activate the phone with username and password.
