Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phablet is the world’s first smartphone with 3GB of RAM. However, Samsung doesn’t satisfy with that achievement and plans to launch smartphone with 4GB of RAM.
The South Korean manufacturer has just announced 1GB 8-gigabit DDR4 low-power memory chip that can be used in multilayer to form 4GB. That chip allows to be used in mobile devices because of its small size.
The speed is also higher than DDR3-based chips available in market at this time, with bandwidth of 3.1Gbps. Furthermore, this memory chip has 40 percent better power efficiency than its predecessor.
The presence of this memory chip allows Samsung to implement it on their 2014 products, including Galaxy smartphones. This technology can also be implemented on laptop or tablet.
