Samsung finally announced the Galaxy S4 Active, another variant of Galaxy S4 with dust and waterproof technology. Certified by IP67, Galaxy S4 Active can dive in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.
On design side, it looks different from the original Galaxy S4. Galaxy S4 Active has three physical buttons below the display – menu, home, and back. If you look the back of the phone, it feels more dashing for those who like travelling and hiking. Samsung also equips S4 Active with water-resistant earphone jack.
For specifications, the hone brings a 5.0-inch Full HD TFT LCD display, quad-core 1.9 GHz Snapdragon 600 chipset, 2 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of internal storage with microSD support. It runs Android 4.2.2 with TouchWiz user interface. There’s a 2600 mAh battery inside. With Glove Touch technology, user can operate the display even when using gloves.
The main camera on Samsung Galaxy S4 Active is 8 MP equipped with LED flash. It has a dedicated mode for capturing images and recording videos in water called Aqua mode, which increases quality and clarity of pictures or videos captured in water. Another camera on the front has a resolution of 2 MP.
