Processor Inside Google Glass Revealed

Google Glass has started to be given to some developers who have paid $1500 the futuristic gadget, which is reputed not suitable in certain places by Google CEO. In recent days, there are many reviews as well as photos and videos taken by the device.

Google has announced some technical specs of Google Glass including 5 megapixels camera with 720p HD video recording, 16 GB SSD, and a day of battery life. But, Google hasn’t revealed RAM and processor used by Google Glass.

Google Glass runs Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, which successfully manipulated by a developer named Jay Freeman who successfully root the glasses made by Google. Rooting process done by using b1nary tool, which able to open root access to Android.

Using Android Debug Bridge, Jay accessed other specs info of Google Glass. The specs are not impressive, just like a smartphone in 2011. It’s revealed that Google Glass features Texas Instrument dual core OMAP 4430 and 1 GB of RAM, 682 MB of which is available for developers.
