The speccifications of Nvidia Tegra 4 for tablet and smartphone has been leaked to public. With code name “Wayne”, Tegra 4 processor will have 4-plus-1 quad-core Eagle technology. It means that Tegra 4 packs an additional core for saving battery (called battery saver core) besides the four cores.
Tegra 4 has low power consumption for saving battery and it seems that the processor will be based on Cortex-A15 architecture as Eagle is the code name of ARM Cortex-A15 architecture. As usual, Nvidia offers powerful graphics performance and Tegra 4 is reported to bring improvement up to 6 times compared to Tegra 3 or 20 times compared to Tegra 2 thanks to the use of 72-core GPU.
The new processor will support high resolution display up to 2560 x 1600 pixels and USB 3.0 connectivity. However, according to the news source, the Tegra processor 4 doesn’t support LTE network.
