Micorsoft Confirms That It Doesn’t Have Any Plan to Develop Its Own Smartphone

Greg Sullivan, Microsoft Executive for Windows Phone, said that Microsoft doesn’t have any plan to produce its own smartphone. This is the confirmation from Microsoft. There’s a rumor which said that Microsoft will produce its own smartphone.¬†Sullivan added that Microsoft has had satisfying partners like HTC, Nokia, Samsung, and Huawei.

The rumor spreads after Microsoft announcing its Surface Windows 8 Tablets in the last week. Microsoft will release two versions of Surface. The first is running on Windows 8 operating system and powered by Intel chip. The other is powered by ARM chip and Windows 8 RT, which is optimized for ARM based tablets.

According to Rick Sherlund, Nomura analyst, Microsoft has been working with manufacturers to produce Windows Phone 8 phones. Unfortunately, it’s still unclear whether the products will come with Microsoft brand or not.¬†However, after Microsoft gave the confirmation, it seems that Microsoft is not interesting in making its own mobile phone, considering that it has invested so much money in Nokia to develop Windows Phone.
