Gamestick and Ouyo have developed Android based game consoles and now other manufacturers want to follow them to develop portable gaming devices running on Android.
A new Android gaming console called Magic Media i5 has a 5.0-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It uses MediaTek processor based on ARM Cortex-A7 with PowerVR SGX544MP GPU, 4 GB internal storage with microSD slot, and 1 GB of RAM. It has two cameras, one on the front and the other on the back. 2G and 3G networks are supported too and even it has two SIM card slots. A 3550 mAh battery is included inside.
Although there are many smartphones and tablets with better specs, gamers can’t play games comfortably without the presence of physical buttons dedicated for playing games. In China, Magic Media i5 will be released with a price around $200.
