LG reveals the first 5-inch display for smartphone with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels / 1080p ) resolution, the highest resolution mobile panel to date. With that resolution, the display has a pixel density of 440 ppi. It gives smartphone users the same experience as viewing Full HD content on a TV. The display uses Advanced High Performance In-Plane Switching (AH-IPS) technology which imporves screen brightness, wider viewing angles, and faster response time when it touched. The screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio which is used by most laptop nowadays. Although this panel offers a brighter display, the screen don’t use more battery power. It needs less power than other display in its class. LG will release the display during the second half of this year.
