Lamborghini, the Italian supercar maker has just announced luxury Android tablet and smartphone. Previously Lamborghini teamed up with TAG to make luxury phone in 2009. The newly announced devices are Lamborghini L2800 tablet and TL700 smartphone.
Despite its status as a luxury and expensive tablet, Lamborghini L2800 is only powered by a 1.2 GHz single-core processor, not a dual-core or quad-core processor, which has been found on tablet with much cheaper price. Another disadvantage is the version of Android OS. This tablet is running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, not the latest Android, 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It has a 9.7-inch sapphire crystal display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixel resulting 132 ppi pixel density. 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of built-in storage are provided on this tablet. A micro SD card slot can be used to increase storage capacity. L2800 features a 5 MP camera on the back as well as a 2 MP front-facing camera which can be used for video call. The tablet will be sold in Russia soon with a price of $ 2,290, € 1,840 or 75,000 RUB.
The Lamborghini TL700 smartphone comes with a 3.7-inch sapphire crystal display with WVGA resolution (480 x 800 pixels) resulting 252 ppi pixel density. Powering this smartphone is a single-core Qualcomm processor. TL700 has a 5 megapixel main camera and a secondary VGA camera. Other specs are a 1400 mAh battery and 4 GB of built-in storage. This Android smartphone will hit Russian market for 2,750, € 2,200 or 90,000 RUB each unit.
Besides those two Android devices, Lamborghini also announced two feature phones, TL688 Spyder and TL820 Spyder 2.
