HTC is rumored to launch a 6.0-inch phablet called HTC T6. The bigger version of HTC One will be a competitor for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3. A leaked document sent to @evleaks Twitter account shows some specifications of HTC T6. From the document, it’s known that the phablet run Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. Android Key Lime Pie was estimated to be announced at Google I/O event some weeks ago, but the release delayed because some vendors want to update their device to Android 4.2.2 first.
HTC T6 is said to have high-end specifications. It will come with a 5.9-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core chip with maximum clock speed of 2.3 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage with microSD slot, rear-camera with UltraPixel technology like HTC one. The main camera is also equipped with Optical Image Stabilization. The front-facing camera is 2.1 MP with wide-angle lens.
Interestingly, the battery is 3300 mAh. It’s very surprising that HTC usually doesn’t equip its smartphones with big capacity battery. It’s also said that HTC is preparing a case with additional 1250 mAh battery. On the back of the phablet, there will be a biometric reader so user can unlock the phone as soon as user hold the device. HTC T6 is estimated to be available this year.
