HTC One V vs LG Optimus L7

HTC One V and LG Optimus L7 are mid-level Android smartphones. Both run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and priced at the same range. Here is the comparison of those phones.

HTC One V comes with a 3.7-inch display, smaller than LG Optimus L7 with a 4.3-inch display. Both with WVGA resolution. With smaller display and same resolution, HTC One V has a better pixel density, 252 ppi compared to 217 ppi.

L7 is powered by ARM v7 single-core 1000 MHz processor and One V is powered by Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon 1 GHz. The quadrant benchmark score is not too much different. They score about 2000 for quadrant benchhmark test.

RAM & Storage
One V features 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of built-in storage. Like its rival, Optimus L7 has 512 MB of RAM. The internal storage is smaller, only 2.4 GB. Both smartphones is equipped with microSD card slot for straoge expansion up to 32 GB.

Operating System
Those phones run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, flavoured with Optimus UI for Optimus L7 and HTC Sense 4.0 UI for One V.

Optimus L7 is equipped with a 5 MP camera and 0.3 MP front-facing camera. The camera only supports VGA video recording. One V is equipped with a 5 MP camera with better image quality and more features such as simultaneous HD video and image recording as well as LED flash, but it doesn’t have a secondary camera for video call on the front.

They support HSDPA and HSUPA network. Optimus L7 has Near Field Communication (NFC) and Digital Living Network Alliance which are not available on One V. But, One V has newer and faster version of Bluetooth, Bluetooth 4.0 compared to Bluetooth 3.0 on L7.

Both come with a Lithium-Ion battery. L7 has a higher capacity battery 1700 mAh vs 1500 mAh. L7 supports up to 100 hours of stand-by time and up to 4 hours of talk time. The talk time and standby-time of One V are still unknown.

Dimensions and Weight
The dimensions of LG Optimus L7 are 125.5 x 67 x 8.7 mm, while the dimension of HTC One V are 120.3 x 59.7 x 9.2 mm. Weighing at 115 gram, One V is a bit lighter than Optimus L7 with a weight of 120 grams.

If you want a phone with good camera qualtiy, you should go with HTC One V. If you look for a phone with a large screen and, features DLNA and NFC, or has a secondary VGA camer for video call, you sh0uld go with Optimus L7.
