The presence of HTC One Google Edition has just confirmed by Android Head, Sundar Pichai. Man who replaced Andy Rubin’s position said that Google with HTC will soon release the smartphone.
Pichai said that the launch of HTC One Google Edition smartphone will be held on June 26th, 2013. The phone won’t use 100% stock Android ROM, as it needs Beats Audio integration. Pichai also said that the smartphone will be priced at $599 for 32 GB version, $50 cheaper than Galaxy S4 Google Edition. However, it seems that the phone will go on sale only in United States. The devices will be sold through Play Store.
HTC One Google Edition comes with unlocked bootloader and will get Android updates directly from Google.
Previously, it was rumored that the smartphone will be produced in limited quantities. There will be only 50,000 units of HTC One Google Edition released to market.
