Desire X comes with a 4.0-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels (WVGA), while Optimus L9 has a large 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, much larger than HTC Desire X display. The resolution is not too much different. As a result, LG Optimus L9 has lower pixel density (209 ppi). Desire X is ahead in terms of pixel density with 233 ppi.
HTC Desire X is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225 chipset with dual-core 1 GHz CPU and Adreno 203 GPU. LG Optimus L9 is powered by TI OMAP 4430 chipset with ual-core 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 CPU and PowerVR SGX540 GPU. It’s obvious that the LG Optimus L9 offers better performance.

They run the same Android version, Android 4.0. Of course, Desire X gets HTC Sense UI and Optimus L9 comes with LG Optimus UI.
They have a 5 megapixel camera. HTC Desire X offers bad video recording quality with 480p as maximum recording resolution. LG Optimus L9 allows you to record Full HD video.

The HTC handset has newer Bluetoth version, Bluetooth 4.0, whereas the LG handset still uses Bluetooth 3.0. But, the Optimus has faster HSDPA, NFC, and Wi-Fi Direct support. Other features such as microUSB, DLNA, and HSUPA are supported on both smartphones.
Optimus L9 packs larger battery capacity (2150 mAh). The capacity of Desire X battery is only 1650 mAh. According to battery stand-by time and talk time, Desire X is good enough. It provides up to 833 hours of stand-by time and 20 hours of talk time in 2G mode. There is no official battery life data for Optimus L9 at this moment.
Dimensions and Weight
With larger display, Optimus L9 has bigger body certainly. But it’s 0.2mm thinner than Desire X.
With Beats Audio enhancement, Desire X is appropriate for those who like listening to music.
HTC Desire X comes with smaller body and it’s more comfortable to be hold on your hand. It also comes with HTC Sense UI. LG Optimus L9 offers bigger screen, more complete connectivity features, better video recording, and better performance.
