HTC Desire SV and HTC One SV are two HTC smartphones from different series, HTC Desires Series and HTC One Series. Both of them have ‘SV’ name. However, there are many differences of those smartphones. Which handset should you choose? Here is the comparison.
HTC Desire SV comes with dual SIM slots. The first supports 3G network, while the second only supports 2G network. HTC One SV has only one SIM card slot, but it offers fast internet connection wiht 4G LTE network.

Desire SV is equipped with an 8 megapixel camera on the rear. In terms of camera resolution, Desire SV is ahead of One SV with 5 megapixel main shooter. As mentioned above, One SV has faster internet with 4G LTE support. Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, and microUSB 2.0 port are available on both devices. Dual-band Wi-Fi, DLNA, and NFC are only available on HTC One SV.
One SV packs larger battery capacity, 1800 mAh vs 1620 mAh on Desire SV.
Dimensions and Weight
Compared to One SV (9.2mm thick), Desire SV looks bulky with 10.7mm thickness. The Desire (131 grams) is also 9 grams heavier than One SV.
The Desire SV has two SIM card slots with dual-standby support. Other features like GPS, Beats Audio, and proximity sensor are available on both handsets.
The advantage of HTC Desire SV over HTC One SV is the dual-SIM support. You can insert two SIM cards on the phone, so you don’t need to bring another phone. If you like to use the camera, although Desire SV has bigger resolution (8 MP), we recommend you to choose One SV as it has far better video recording resolution. The rest of specs, HTC One SV is better than Desire SV.
