Google Nexus Tablet Comes Without Rear Camera and Only Supports Wi-Fi

We have written a post about preliminary specifications of Google Nexus Tablet made by Asus. It will be powered by a Quad-core 1.3 GHz Nvidia Tegra 3. The device also features 1 GB of RAM and a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels.

Google Nexus Tablet will be announced at Google I/O event

The latest information said that Google Nexus Tablet will be priced $199 for each unit. Unfortunately, the tablet only supports Wi-Fi and will not work on any network. The tablet is only equipped with front-facing camera; it doesn’t have a rear camera.

Besides the leaked specs about the 7-inch tablet, there’s also a leaked image which is believed to be taken by Nexus tablet camera (the front-facing one, because it comes without a rear camera). The image found on someone’s Google web Picasa album, but it has been deleted by the user. The deletion increase confidence that the image is really taken by Nexus Tablet. The photo resolution is 1280 x 960 pixels. From the EXIF infromation, the picture was taken on June 13, 2012.

The Google Nexus 7-inch tablet is reportedly to be announced at Google I/O event in San Francisco held on June 27-29. It will be the first device to run Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and produced to compete with Amazon Kindle, which sold at  $149 and $149.
