At the Google I/O event, Google announced that it will release Samsung Galaxy S4 running on stock Android (AOSP). Rumor about the handset had been appeared just before the event held. The phone is 100% pure Vanilla Android without TouchWiz UI like other Galaxy smartphones.
The device will be sold directly at Google Play and will get Android update fast like all Nexus handsets. You don’t need to wait for your carrier to roll out update. And the most important, it comes with unlocked bootloader for additional flexibility.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition will go on sale in United States starting from June 26th. With a price of $649 off-contract, you can enjoy the fast LTE network. Other specs of the smartphone are still unclear. Of course, the Smart features on Galaxy S4 disappear, but it still has some advantages over Nexus devices with the presence of microSD slot.
