After leaked on NenaMark2 back to early December, a Samsung device with code GT-N5100 revealed through GLBenchmark website. It’s not clear what’s the name of the handset, but some people call it Galaxy Note 7-inch looking at the ‘N’ code.
GLBenchmark data confirms that Galaxy Note 7-inch will use Exynos 4412 chip clocked at 1.6 GHz, a 1280 x 800 pixels HD display, and running on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. It’s rumored to be announced at CES 2013 or MWC 2013.
Demand of 7-inch tablet is high at this moment. You can see from the popularity of Amazon Kindle Fire, Asus Google Nexus 8, and Apple iPad mini. Acer and Asus are reportedly preparing new budget(s) 7-inch Android tablet in the near future.
Galaxy Note 7-inch is created to compete in high-end 7-inch tablet market. Currently Samsung doesn’t have any device competing at that market. The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 only comes with standard specifications, categorized as a mid-range tablet.
