Canonical, the Ubuntu operating system developer company says that users of Galaxy Nexus will be able to taste Ubuntu OS for smartphone soon.
As reported by OMG Ubuntu, Canonical Engineering Manager Alan Pope informed that the company will launch a downloadable Ubuntu image. The image is intended to Galaxy Nexus handset and can be enjoyed at the end of February. The exact date is still unclear, but it’s estimated at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013 which took place between February 25 to 28.
Ubuntu OS designed for smartphones features swiping gesture, which is used to navigate and move to other page like the one on most touchscreen handsets. While the main features of the phone such as phone call, send message, camera, and others reportedly have run well.
