As you know, RIM is developing its new operating system called BlackBerry 10, which is scheduled to be officially announced in August. Some details of BlackBerry 10 has been leaked. Now, there’s a new leaked information about the specifications of BB 10 handsets.
According to latest leaked information from N4BB, the first BlackBerry 10 handsets will consist of 2 models, the first is full touchscreen smartphone and the other is smartphone with physical qwerty keyboard. The two handsets first known as BlackBerry London and Nevada, then the name changed into BlackBerry L-series and N-series.
BlackBerry L-series will have a 768×1280 pixels high definition display with 356 ppi pixel density. The width of the display is 55 mm. The resolution is ahead of iPhone 4/4S Retina Display which has lower pixel density. According to N4BB, the handset design will be different from BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha.
BlackBerry N-Series will come with 720 x 720 pixels display with 330 ppi pixel density. The display width is about 52-53 mm. This BlackBerry 10 handset will be equipped with QWERTY keyboard. The first N-Series will use OLED display, but it may use LCD on the release.
Perhaps RIM will launch the L-series to market in September 2012, while the N-series will be released in Q1 2013.
