A new tablet from Archos has launched officially to market. It’s the Archos 80 Xenon, latest Android tablet with 8-inch display. It’s claimed as a strong competitor for iPad Mini.

The presence of Archos 80 Xenon firstly known from various online shops in Europe. The prices for this tablet are different from each other. A Germany online store sells the tablet at $268, while other stores set a price of $223 each unit.

The French manufacturer equips its tablet with an 8-inch display with the same resolution as iPad Mini display, 1024 x 768 pixels. For processor, Archos will give two processor options, the standard version with dual-core CPU and the higher specs with quad-core CPU with the same clock speed. The RAM is also different, 512 MB for standard version and 16 GB for more expensive version.

Archos also includes two cameras, 2 MP on the back and a 0.3 MP (VGA) on the front. Other features are FM radio, A-GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Archos 80 Xenon runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
