Apple is Preparing iPhone 5 with quad-core A6 processor

After some well known manufacturers released smartphone with quad-core processor, Apple want to implement that technology on its product. The latest rumor reported by Digitimes said that Apple is going to release iPhone 5 with quad-core processor in late 2012. The company tries to catch Samsung, LG, HTC, Meizu, and others manufacturers which have released smartphone with quad-core processor.

Apple quad-core A6 processor

According to that rumor, new iPhone will use a quad-core A6 processor produced by Samsung. The processor is quad-core Exynos chip that has been modified. New Apple iPhone is planned for anticipating holiday and shopping season in US which usually occurs in the fourth quarter of each year. Besides Apple, another companies that plans to release their first product with quad-core processor are ZTE and Huawei.

Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor

Meanwhile Qualcomm is reportedly preparing a new quad-core chip namely APQ8064A. The chipset will integrate LTE and Adreno 320 GPU and based on 28nm process. The new Qualcomm Snapdragon chip is scheduled to be released in Q4 2012.
