Google has announced Nexus 7 tablet that will be sold at $199. The price is same with Amazon Kindle Fire, but those tablet has very different specifications. Nexus 7 is powered by quad-core processor and 12-core GPU. The tablet runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
Amazon doesn’t want to lose in competition with Nexus 7. According to China Times, Amazon is reported to have ordered 2 million units of Kindle Fire 2 from Quanta, a manufacturer company from China. The second generation Amazon tablet will be delivered on August 7, 2012.
There’s another rumor says that there will be an announcement of new Kindle Fire on July 31. Kindle Fire 2 is rumored to use metal frame and plastic body. The display is made by LG and the touch panel is made by TPK.
