Firefox OS, the new mobile operating system based on HTML5 from Mozilla, will enter Europe, Central America, and South America soon. Alcatel will release One Touch Fire with Firefox OS to fill entry-level smartphone market.
One Touch Fire has a 4.5-inch HVGA (320 x 480 pixels) display, Qualcomm MSM 7227A chip at 1 GHz, 512 MB internal storage with microSD slot, 256 MB of RAM, 3.2 MP main camera, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, and FM radio. It will be available in three color choices – Orange, Pure White, and Apple Green.
The device packs a 1400 mAh battery, claimed to provide up to 280 hours of standby time, up to 6.7 hours of talk time in 2G mode, and up to 3 hours of talk time in 3G mode. The dimensions are 115mm x 62.3mm x 12.2 mm with a weight of 108 grams. It will be available in emerging countries in Europe, Central America, and South America in this summer.
